Festo

Festo manufactures pneumatic and electrical components and systems to support customers with factory and process automation. The company also offers training and consultancy in the development of people, organisations and technology.

Festo is one of the more recent companies to join the Northants Engineering Training Partnership (NETP) and offers extensive training facilities which can be used to develop a broad range of skills including mechatronics, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and pneumatics.

The company offers student placements in their Customised Solutions design office. During their placements students work on customer projects, gaining valuable experience in two and three-dimensional Computer Aided Design (CAD), controls design and project management.  Festo aims to support and assess students with a view to offering them full-time positions on graduation.

Festo has an annual turnover in excess of 1.7 billion Euro, employs 13,500 people around the world and has facilities in 176 countries.
