Greg Austin

Greg Austin
Greg is International Business Manager at Endoline Machinery Ltd. His interest in machinery began when he won a place at Northampton University to study Engineering. He graduated with a BSc Honours degree and began his career at Japanese-based THK Linear Motion Systems where he worked until October 2007 before joining Endoline. During his four years at the company, Greg has consistently excelled, despite his managing director admitting he 'took a punt on him, as he previously had no sales experience in the packaging automation market. However, as a driven individual, Greg was determined to show that this risk would pay off. Not letting his initial lack of knowledge hold him back, during his first three months at the company, he managed to secure business worth more than double his sales target for the UK Midlands area. This was, in fact, the most successful sales quarter for an individual area since Endoline commenced business in 1981. A natural communicator and self-confessed 'team player', Greg was quickly promoted through the ranks to the senior management team and position of international business manager, where he now finds himself responsible for growing and developing Endoline overseas. Since taking on this role, he has helped to increase the company's export coverage and selling potential by 50% via a business partnership with a distributor in Eastern Europe and Russia, taking the company's international activity to a whole new level. Greg is described by Endoline's Managing Director, Alan Yates, as a 'key player in strategic decisions which will guide the company into the future' and he backs this up himself by saying 'I am hungry to succeed and have proven that nothing will hold me back from achieving my own dreams and the ambitions of my company'.
