Exhibit at the Advanced Engineering Show 2016

University of Northampton Engineering students visited the Advanced Engineering Show 2016, the UK’s largest gathering of advanced engineering & manufacturing professionals.  The 700 exhibitors and a wide range of industry forums hosted by industry experts from ADS; Airbus; Alstom; Bentley; GKN; JLR; Magna and many more, provided a great opportunity for students to gather information about the latest technology and gain an insight into the Aero, Composites, Automotive and Advanced Materials sectors.

Here’s what the students said:

Jen Betts – BSc Engineering

The NEC Advanced Engineering event was a great opportunity to see some of the industry applications for engineering. There was a wide range of companies there, some with a very specialist focus and some with more wide-ranging applications, such as the 3D printers, which were fun to see in action. I particularly enjoyed the demonstration showing ways to integrate VR headsets and 3D technology with CAD software.”

Jeanpaul Hardie – MSc Engineering

Sometimes working in an engineering environment you can become blind to anything out of your scope of work. The NEC show is superb for removing the blinkers; while effortlessly reigniting the curiosity and admiration that lead you down that career path in the first instance!"

This is the 3rd year we have been and we shall be booking again for next year!
