The Mechanical Engineering BEng (Hons) degree at the University of Northampton offers a flexible and future-focused pathway for students aiming to build a successful career in the engineering sector. This course is available to study full-time, part-time, or via a day-release option through the BSc (Hons) pathway—catering to a wide range of student needs.
You can complete the BEng in three years, or choose to enhance your experience with a year-long industrial placementbetween the second and third year. Students also have the option to continue into a fourth year and gain an integrated master’s degree (MEng), which includes a substantial group research project to apply advanced engineering principles in a practical setting.
Typical entry requirements include:
BCC at A-level (including Mathematics), or
DMM at BTEC/Cambridge Technical, or
Pass (Grade C or above) at T Level
