Swapnil Khedekar

I joined Festo in 2014 as a Customer Solutions Design Danger and in November 2015 was promoted to the Senior Management Team. In this role I am responsible for all technical services within Festo GB including design and production of bespoke engineered solutions covering a wide range of PLC control systems, mechanical pick and place assemblies for a variety of industrial sectors including automotive, food, beverage and electronics.

I started my engineering journey as an apprentice 15 years ago and attended Northampton University as a part-time student to complete my HNC. Subsequently I went on to complete my Engineering degree at DeMont Ford University and Masters at the Open University.

Engineering is complex and ever changing hence it requires a mix of theory and practical experience. NETP fulfils this role in many respects providing the students the opportunity to balance their classroom theory with industry experience. At Festo through our Customer Solutions Design department we can offer student this practical experience in a safe and supportive environment.

In terms of supporting student excellence Festo are delighted to be able to sponsor the Alan Casey student of the year award with the successful student securing a trip to their German HQ and research and development facility.
